Objectives

- To highlight recent advances in the global pineapple industry
- To facilitate a forum for exchange of scientific work on pineapple and capture the most up to date research results for the benefits of researchers, producers and traders
- To strengthen linkages among researches, extension agents, producers, exporters, importers and policy makers and find solutions to the industry-related problems

Keynote and Lead Papers

The event will be held over two days, with presentations by experts and international speakers.

The symposium will cover several topics:

- Breeding genetics
- Plant physiology and cultural practices
- Pest and disease management
- Post-harvest handling and product development
- Consumer and marketing

Technical Visit
A technical tour to selected pineapple farms and processing factories will be organized for interested participants.
