PHOTOS: TFNet joins Malaysia’s “Largest Mango Tree Planting” activity

KEDAH, MALAYSIA: 4000 mango seedlings of the Harumanis variety were planted by 2000 people at the same time on Sept 19, setting the record for “Largest Mango Tree Planting” on the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR).

The programme was organized by the Department of Agriculture and Malaysia Agriculture College, with support from agencies under the Ministry of Agriculture, the State government of Kedah, International Tropical Fruits Network (TFNet), University Utara Malaysia (UUM), University Malaysia Perlis (Unimap), and others.

TFNet CEO Dr. Mohd Desa Hassim planted the first series of seedlings to kickstart the 1 Million Fruit Trees Planting Campaign in Malaysia.
