Technical Officer

Primary responsibilities:

  • Research and collect technical information on tropical fruits
  • Write technical articles on tropical fruits for the website, databases, reports, proceedings, and journals
  • Assist in writing project proposals
  • Provide technical advice for the implementation of projects and studies
  • Prepare reports and publications on seminars, workshops, and conferences organized by TFNet
  • Other duties and tasks directed by the Chief Executive Officer


  • Candidate should hold at least a Masters degree in Agricultural Science, Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, or other related science
  • Strong background in agriculture, especially tropical fruits
  • At least five years experience in a related field
  • Excellent competency in English (spoken and written) and have excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Knowledge of other languages (Spanish, French) is an added advantage
  • A previous overseas engagement or work experience with international organizations is advantageous
  • Can independently work with minimum supervision
  • Possesses own transport
  • Must be a citizen of any TFNet member country

This offer is initially for a 2-year period, with the possibility of renewal and a probation period of 3-6 months.
