AUSTRALIA: Mango farmers battle storms, geese and worker shortages to get fruit to market     US halts Haitian mango imports

Australia’s mango season is heating up with about 500,000 trays being picked and packed but growers are facing plenty of challenges to get fruit to market.     Beginning at the end of January 2023, the United States Department of Agriculture will no longer permit the import of mangoes from Haiti.

CAMBODIA: Fruits export under pressure, China’s main market     PERU: The cold will affect mango production

The fruits market in Cambodia is expanding and consumption is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 2.1 percent over the next 5 years.     The low temperatures will affect the 2022-2023 campaign’s mango production, where the fruits are detaching from the trees affecting more than 30,000 hectares of mango in the San Lorenzo valley.

MALAYSIA: Pineapple Industry Board plans to introduce night farming method     BANGLADESH: Papayas float above rising seas

Farmers in Kenya are starting to shift from traditionally grown maize to avocados because of their better prices and yields.     Avocados, the fruit known as “green gold” because of their ability to generate billions of dollars for producers, are apparently so abundant right now that South American farmers are just giving them away.
