  1. To offer views and perspectives on the course of the MD2 pineapple industry in Malaysia
  2. To provide technical information on MD2 planting techniques to participants in an effort to increase quality and production of pineapples in Malaysia
  3. To establish a network between producers, traders, and service providers within the MD2 pineapple industry value chain

The seminar was opened by Datuk Seri Dr. Ismail Hj. Bakar, Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-based Ministry. “The purpose of this seminar is to thrust Malaysia into the forefront of the global pineapple industry by introducing policies and strategies of the Malaysian pineapple industry to major industry players,” said Datuk Ismail.
