The International Tropical Fruit Network (TFNet) and the NAM Institute for the Empowerment of Women (NIEW) Malaysia organized a training workshop on Empowering Women Entrepreneurs in Agri-Food Business Through Tropical Fruits Value Chain from 29 November to 2 December 2016.

 

 

The Workshop was attended by 26 participants from Malaysia, Indonesia, India, and Cambodia representing the public and private agencies. The workshop included hands-on trainers for training sessions on processing and value addition of tropical fruits, which can increase household income. The courses taught included simple techniques to make fruit products like jams, cookies, cakes, and traditional desserts.
