A meeting was held between the Tropical Fruits Network (TFNet) and Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) in Bogor, Indonesia on 6 February 2026, to explore potential collaboration in TFNet’s upcoming programmes.
The TFNet delegation was led by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr Muhamed Salim bin Mohd Ali, and Mr Yacob Ahmad, Senior Technical Officer (STO). The IPB delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Chusnul Arif, S.T.P., M.Si., Acting Head of Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, IPB University, and accompanied by Prof. Dr. Ir. Aris Purwanto, M.Sc., Prof. Dr. Ir. Rokhani Hasbullah, M.Si., and Dr. Ir. Usman Ahmad, M.Agr..
During the meeting, TFNet introduced, among others, “Fruinext”, a new youth-focused programme initiated by TFNet. Both parties also discussed the preparation of a draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to further strengthen international cooperation, which is expected to be signed within the year.
TFNet and IPB agreed to enhance collaboration through the exchange of information, expertise, and technical support in areas of mutual interest related to the tropical fruit sector.
