The Tropical Fruits Network (TFNet) delegation, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Muhamed Salim bin Mohd Ali, accompanied by Mr. Yacob Ahmad, Senior Technical Officer (STO), paid a courtesy visit to the Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN), Indonesia to further strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two organisations.
The TFNet delegation was warmly received by the BRIN team led by Dr. Dwinita Wikan Utami, Head of the Research Center for Horticulture and Plantation, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), together with Dr. Sari Intan Kailaku, Senior Researcher, (Horticulture), BRIN and Dr. Ellina Mansyah, Senior Researcher (Tropical Fruits), BRIN.
The meeting served to reaffirm and update the long-standing collaborative relationship between TFNet and BRIN, with discussions focusing on enhancing cooperation through joint work programmes planned for 2026, particularly in the areas of research, innovation, capacity building and knowledge exchange within the tropical fruits sector.
Both parties expressed their commitment to establishing a more structured and official mechanism to further formalise and strengthen the working relationship between TFNet and BRIN, including the possibility of developing a framework for future collaborative projects.
TFNet also extended an invitation to BRIN to share updates on its latest research findings and technological innovations, which may be disseminated through TFNet’s website and newsletters for the benefit of its regional and international network of stakeholders.
BRIN remains a long-standing strategic partner and strong supporter of TFNet’s activities in Indonesia, playing a significant role in advancing research, innovation and sustainable development in the tropical fruits industry.
