The Secretariat wishes to inform that Dr. Mohd. Desa Hassim has left TFNet to continue his services at the Department of Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture, Malaysia. The TFNet Secretariat, TFNet Board Members, and all members would like to express their gratitude and thanks for his efforts and contribution to sustain and improve the Network during his tenure from May 2015 – March 2018. Among his accomplishments include developing a roadmap for tropical fruit production with the Malaysian Ministry of Agriculture, holding several symposiums, and organizing study visits with members.
To ensure the continuity of TFNet activities and programmes, the Board of Trustees has approved for Technical Officer Ms. Dorothy Chandrabalan to assume the duties of the CEO until a new one is appointed. The Board of Trustees has also appointed former CEO Mr. Yacob Ahmad as Advisor during the transitionary period. Announcement of the CEO vacancy will be advertised as soon as possible.
TFNet would like to wish Dr. Mohd Desa Hassim the best of luck in his future endeavors.
