The International Tropical Fruits Network (TFNet) has appointed Muhamed Salim bin Mohd Ali as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 2025.
Muhamed Salim brings almost 20 years of experience in the plantation commodities and agriculture sector, with expertise in international trade and relations, market strategies, trade compliance, and development of agricultural policies at national and international levels.
Prior to his appointment as CEO, Muhamed Salim was the Acting Undersecretary of the International Division of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Malaysia. He also represented Malaysia in The Hague, Netherlands as the Agricultural Counsellor from March 2020-2024.
He received his MBA from Putra Business School and was bestowed with the President’s Awards as the best masters student. He also received various awards for his excellence in public service.
He is also the current President of the Philatelic Society of Malaysia.
