The CEO of TFNet, Mr Muhamed Salim bin Mohd Ali, paid a courtesy visit on 8 June 2026 to Datuk Jamawi Jaafar, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry, Sabah, to discuss areas of strategic cooperation in strengthening the tropical agriculture and fruit industry.
During the engagement, TFNet shared updates on its ongoing programmes and highlighted several upcoming regional initiatives aimed at enhancing collaboration, knowledge exchange, and capacity building within the tropical fruit sector.
Among the key initiatives discussed were plans to co-organise an International Avocado Forum later this year in collaboration with strategic partners, as well as the proposed Sabah International Tropical Fruits Summit 2027, which aims to position Sabah as a key regional hub for tropical fruit development and innovation.
The Minister welcomed TFNet’s initiatives and expressed strong support for closer collaboration to advance agricultural development, particularly in strengthening industry linkages, market access, and international partnerships.
