The Chief Executive Officer of TFNet, Mr. Muhamed Salim Mohd Ali, contributed an article entitled “How Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) are Shaping the Future of Southeast Asia’s Tropical Fruit Juice Industry.” The article examines how regional and international trade agreements such as ATIGA, the ASEAN–China FTA, and RCEP are driving the growth of Southeast Asia’s tropical fruit juice industry by improving market access, strengthening regional supply chains, and encouraging investment in value-added processing.
The article further highlights the opportunities and challenges facing the industry, including compliance with food safety and sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) requirements, sustainability concerns, and the need for innovation and investment. It emphasizes that Southeast Asia’s strong tropical fruit production base, combined with strategic utilization of FTAs and regional cooperation, positions the region to become a leading global supplier of premium tropical fruit beverages.
