The International Tropical Fruits Network (TFNet) has been invited to participate in the Business Council Meeting and Luncheon with His Excellency Sakiasi Raisevu Ditoka, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Fiji, to be held on 11 August 2026.
The invitation was extended to Mr. Muhamed Salim bin Mohd Ali, Chief Executive Officer of TFNet, by Fillip Sdn. Bhd., a consulting firm appointed by the Government of Fiji to strengthen trade and investment relations with Malaysia. The invitation was given during a courtesy visit to the TFNet Headquarters on 5 August 2026 by Dr. Ruslan Yusoff, Executive Chairman, and Ms. Juliza Tee, Executive Director.
The high-level meeting will bring together government officials and business leaders to explore bilateral trade and investment opportunities in strategic sectors, including the halal industry, agro-commodities, tourism, education, and green technology.
A key outcome of the meeting will be the establishment of the Malaysia–Fiji Business Council, aimed at enhancing economic cooperation and fostering stronger commercial partnerships between the two countries. TFNet has been invited to become a founding member of the Council, representing the interests of an intergovernmental organization and contributing its expertise in tropical fruit development, trade facilitation, and international collaboration.
TFNet’s participation reflects its growing role in promoting international cooperation and creating new opportunities for its member countries through strategic partnerships beyond the tropical fruit sector.
