The CEO of the International Tropical Fruits Network (TFNet), Muhamed Salim Mohd Ali, held a productive meeting with the Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA), where he was received by Mrs. Le Thi Bich Lien, Vice Director of the International Cooperation Office and Vice Director of the Centre for Foreign Languages and International Education, along with her team.

During the meeting, TFNet presented an overview of the organisation and highlighted its latest initiative on youth development in the agriculture and tropical fruit sector—TFNet Youth Program: FRUITNext. The programme was warmly received by VNUA, which has agreed to come on board as a collaborative partner in the pilot phase.

With this partnership, VNUA joins the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB), and the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) in supporting the FRUITNext initiative.

Both parties also expressed their intention to formalise the collaboration through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in due course, paving the way for deeper cooperation in youth engagement, capacity building, and innovation within the tropical fruit sector.
