Dr Wilson Yong, Deputy Director (Research & Innovation), Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), together with his team, during a courtesy visit and engagement session focused on strengthening academia–industry collaboration in the tropical agriculture sector.

UMS welcomed the initiative and expressed strong interest in participating in the programme. The university also indicated its readiness to formalise its involvement through a Letter of Intent (LOI), paving the way for structured collaboration moving forward.
Also present at the meeting was Mr Donald Stephens, representing the Malaysian Society of Agricultural Development (MASDA).
Both parties further agreed to explore potential partnership opportunities, including collaboration in securing consultancy projects and joint initiatives that can leverage the expertise of both TFNet and UMS in agricultural research, innovation, and industry development.
