Azerbaijan imported 536 tons of fresh or dried avocados worth $1.7 million during the six months of 2025, according to calculations by Report based on data from the State Statistical Committee.

This marks a 28% increase in value and a 13% rise in volume compared to the same period last year.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported:

• 253 tons from Peru worth $837,000 – up 18% in value and 10% in volume

• 83 tons from Tanzania worth $259,000 – a 69-fold increase in value and 109-fold rise in volume

• 45 tons from Kenya worth $171,000 – a 6-fold rise in value and 5-fold in volume

• 28.5 tons from Morocco worth $101,700 – a 7-fold increase in value and 10-fold in volume

• 54.5 tons from Türkiye worth $81,800 – a 63% drop in value and 62% in volume

Overall, in 2024, 832 tons of avocados were imported into Azerbaijan, with Türkiye accounting for 45% and Peru for 38% of the total supply.
