It is with immense pride and gratitude that I present the 100th issue of the TFNet Newsfeed. Reaching this remarkable milestone is more than the publication of one hundred editions—it is a celebration of our collective commitment to advancing knowledge, fostering international collaboration, and promoting the sustainable development of the global tropical fruit sector.

Since its inception, the TFNet Newsfeed has evolved into one of TFNet’s most important communication platforms. It has documented the latest developments in tropical fruit research, production, trade, policy, innovation and capacity building, while highlighting the achievements and initiatives of our member countries and partners. More importantly, it has served as a bridge connecting governments, researchers, academia, industry, development partners and tropical fruit enthusiasts through the timely exchange of knowledge and ideas.

One of the most encouraging developments has been the growing role of the TFNet Newsfeed in strengthening TFNet’s digital presence. By providing timely, relevant and insightful content on tropical fruit research, trade, innovation and international cooperation, the Newsfeed has become a key attraction for visitors to the TFNet website. Over the past year, this sustained commitment to quality content has helped increase the website’s monthly unique visitors from approximately 13,000 to over 60,000. Beyond the numbers, this growth reflects the increasing global interest in tropical fruits and reinforces TFNet’s role as a trusted international knowledge hub serving governments, researchers, industry stakeholders and the wider public.

As we celebrate this milestone, we also recognise the rapidly evolving landscape of the tropical fruit sector. Climate change, food and nutrition security, sustainability, digital transformation, market diversification and technological innovation continue to reshape agriculture worldwide. These challenges also present unprecedented opportunities for collaboration, innovation and shared learning. TFNet remains steadfast in its mission to bring together governments, research institutions, universities, the private sector and development partners to create practical solutions that benefit producers, consumers and future generations.

This 100th issue is therefore not merely a celebration of a publication—it is a celebration of the people behind it. I extend my heartfelt appreciation to our member countries, the Board of Trustees, contributors, editors, researchers, partners and loyal readers whose unwavering support has made this achievement possible. Every article published, every success story shared and every contribution received has enriched our collective knowledge and strengthened the global tropical fruit community.

Looking ahead, the TFNet Newsfeed will continue to evolve as a dynamic platform for knowledge sharing and international cooperation. We aspire to provide even greater value by featuring emerging research, market intelligence, expert perspectives, success stories and innovative solutions that inspire action and support evidence-based decision-making. Through stronger partnerships and the continued exchange of ideas, we can unlock the tremendous potential of tropical fruits to enhance livelihoods, improve nutrition, strengthen rural economies and contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The first one hundred issues have laid a strong foundation. The next one hundred offer even greater opportunities to inform, connect and inspire the global tropical fruit community.

On behalf of the TFNet Secretariat, I sincerely thank all our readers, contributors and partners for your continued trust and support. Together, let us continue cultivating knowledge, strengthening partnerships and shaping a more resilient, innovative and sustainable future for tropical fruits worldwide.

Thank you for being part of this remarkable journey, and I look forward to embarking on the next chapter with you.
